The Maple Leaf Run
The Maple Leaf Run is back — stronger and bolder than ever.
The 2nd edition of this 21-kilometre half-marathon journey through the streets of our nation’s capital will trace the shape of our most powerful national symbol: the Maple Leaf.
In a time when the world feels uncertain, it’s a reminder of what keeps us grounded — service, solidarity, resilience, and the simple joy of coming together.
On Tuesday, June 14th, in the days leading up to Canada Day, Members of Parliament from across the country will lace up not as partisans, but as dedicated leaders entrusted to represent their communities — running side by side to thank Canadians for their trust and to celebrate the country we’re proud to call home.
Led by Eric St-Pierre, Member of Parliament for Honoré-Mercier, and joined by fellow parliamentarians, athletes, and special guests, the Maple Leaf Run has become a parliamentary tradition — one that reflects the endurance, solidarity, optimism and strength at the heart of public service.
Because just like the work they do every single day for Canadians, every step counts.
The Route & Details

Some will run the full 21 kilometres. Others will join along the route or be there to welcome the final steps. Each kilometre reflecting something larger than ourselves: a Canada that is strong, resilient, confident, and full of energy.

MP Eric St-Pierre
Ultramarathon runner. Community builder. Member of Parliament for Honoré-Mercier since 2025.
Eric St-Pierre believes endurance is more than a sport — it’s a way to lead.
In 2026, he brought that spirit to Parliament by rallying more than 20 MPs from across the country for the Push-Up Challenge in support of mental health awareness, turning a personal commitment into a collective movement for well-being, solidarity, and resilience.
Before being elected to the House of Commons in 2025, Eric served for nearly a decade as the founding Executive Director of the Trottier Family Foundation, helping to launch some of Canada’s most ambitious initiatives in climate action, health, and social equity. Today, he sits on the Standing Committee on Environment and Sustainable Development and is co-founder of the Liberal Environment and Climate Caucus, working to build a stronger, more sustainable Canada.
An accomplished endurance athlete who has completed multiple ultramarathons, Eric created the Maple Leaf Run to bring colleagues together beyond the walls of Parliament — to move, to connect, and to celebrate the country we are privileged to serve.
Because for him, leadership — like running — is about showing up, step after step, for something bigger than yourself.
